Francois Marais: Safari Investments rolls in to Namibia, next stop Croatia. Innovative partnerships key.
Safari Investments has developed strongly off its solid base of retail shopping centres in Mamelodi, Atteridgeville and Sebokeng. In the last six months the group opened its R640m project in Swakopmund, Namibia. A key development strategy is the partnerships the property group is creating with health centres like Advanced Health, expanding on the retail offering. CEO Francois Marais is also looking for new revenue streams outside of Africa, with Croatia on the map. In this update on the JSE-listed REIT, Marais takes Biznews.com’s Alec Hogg through the group’s six month earnings to the end of September.
